This site is operated by the Rob Reyburn for Alderman, Ward 6 campaign. This policy explains what information the campaign collects through this website and how it is used.

Information we collect

Depending on the form you use, the campaign may collect your name, email address, phone number, ZIP code, neighborhood, the ways you would like to help, event information you provide, and any message you send. If you submit an endorsement, we also record whether you gave the campaign permission to publish it and how you prefer to be identified.

If you begin a contribution, the campaign separately collects the information needed for campaign-finance recordkeeping, which may include your name, mailing address, email address, contribution amount, and — where required — your occupation and employer.

Supporter information and contribution records are kept separate

General supporter and contact information is stored separately from campaign-finance contribution records. Contribution records are treated as regulated campaign-finance data, not as a marketing list, and access is restricted to authorized campaign personnel.

How we use your information

The campaign uses supporter information to respond to you, coordinate volunteer and yard sign requests, schedule and confirm events, send campaign updates you requested, and review endorsement submissions before any publication. Nothing you submit is published automatically.

Disclosure

The campaign does not sell supporter information. Information may be shared with campaign staff, volunteers, and service providers who help operate the campaign, and may be disclosed when required by law.

Please note that campaign-finance law may require the campaign to publicly report information about contributors, including name, address, and — in some cases — occupation and employer. Contribution information subject to public reporting cannot be kept confidential.

Your choices

You may ask the campaign to stop sending you updates, correct your information, or remove your supporter record by emailing rob@robreyburn.com. Records the campaign must retain for campaign-finance compliance cannot be deleted on request.
